GREAT NEWS!!

I finally got a calling in my new ward...I am so scared that I think I might throw-up every time I think about my new calling.

I am the 16-17 year old Sunday School Teacher Gospel Doctrine!

WHAT?!?! I made myself bleed while I was getting the calling from picking my fingers becuase I was so nervous. Anyways I teach on the 21st and I am sick right now just thinking about it. Wish me luck and if anyone has any ideas I am all ears.

Difficult Cinnamon Rolls

First off - I do not recommend anyone making these cinnamon rolls. They were not as easy as the recipe sounded. So ... with that in mind - and 12 hours later or so ... here is the damn recipe:

1/2 cup mashed potatoes
1/2 cup margarine
2 cups scalded milk
1/3 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder

Pour scalded milk over the potatoes, sugar, and margarine to melt the margarine. Cool to luke warm. Dissolve 1 pkg. dry yeast in 1/2 c. warm water and add to milk mixture along with 2 beaten eggs. Add flour, soda, salt, and baking powder. Beat thoroughly then add enough flour to make a soft dough (this ended up being like 12 more cups - hahaha - seriously). Knead just a little (forgot to do that - haha), grease top of dough and cover, store in refrigerator over night (wanted them NOW - so didn't do that). Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.

Finally getting the dough to roll ... after adjusting about 12 more cups of flour. AGH!
Coat with butter. Add cinnamon and brown sugar, roll and cut.

Yay! Finished product. They are deeeelish.

Baking in the oven. Look yummy, huh?

They loved it!

We gobbled 'em up.

I am now officially moved into my parents home. It has been a very nice transition from Orem to Spanish Fork. I do have to say there are not a lot of places to eat in Spanish Fork, but over all I really like it out there.

I went to the dentist the other day to pick up my night guard-yep I have a sever case of TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Disorders) I have had this problem for a long time and decided now is a good time to do something about it sense I have been getting headaches. As I was trying on my lovely new night guard my jaw popped super loud and the dentist asked "Is that your jaw"? See what I have to put up with everyday...At work if my co workers aer eating lunch together everyone can hear my jaw pop every time I chew-it sounds like I don't know how to eat my food quietly. But anyways I am happy that I am trying to fix the problem, they say it will never go away but we hope to make the popping less then every time I open my mouth or talk or chew or just sit quietly. It's really bad.

Just a side note Jazz is 4-0 and I am really excited for this season! It should be a good one! GO JAZZ!

Junk...

I have decided to FINALLY clean out my bottom draw of my dresser. I know, I know I turned into a pack rat with papers and junk. I had to call Michelle and tell her a few things that I found. Let's see I found movie ticket stubs a lot for some reason dated in 1995-1996 AWESOME! Also I found 2 speeding tickets from 1995, and old business card for Dad at Rick Warren Washburn Moters! I found so much junk from High School and Jr. High. What was I thinking keeping all this stuff? I found my Jr. year School ID. YES! That is just what I wanted. The BEST part for me is I found NOTES that my friends gave me in high school. It's funny to go back a read what was happening then. But I don't recommend this to anyone to save EVERYTHING, but I did find a birthday card from my Grandma Miller that I am keeping, ooh also a few letters from Marissa while she was starting to write and draw pictures! I love them, so I am keeping them. So moving is not the funnest thing but I did get a good laugh with all the stuff I still had. GOOD TIMES! One more note I just throw away 18 bras YES 18 they were not way old or anything. I guess I forgot I had so many and bought more. Crazy huh! Anyways just so you all know I have 5 right now. So I am very happy with that. Okay love you all!

Right after I decided to move home I heard this on the radio- 70% of 18-30 years old still do what?
Answer- Yea, STILL LIVE AT HOME! ('sigh' awesome)

Getting Waxed -VS-Shaving

GETTING WAXED - VS - SHAVING

I have had a few of my friends tell me that half love to get waxed and the other half would only shave. I have been thinking about this for awhile deciding if I am going to make my appointment to have my legs waxed.
I have waxed my own legs before and it was not the best thing ever, but I think it would be different if someone else did it for me.
1. It hurts
2. I wont have to shave for a month
3. I have 6 feet long legs...that's a lot of leg to wax
4. I don't have to shave.
So I was just wondering if anyone else out there thinks waxing is good or bad?!? I think I will make my appointment and we will see if I keep it or not. Wish me luck!

So Busy!

Sorry that I have not posted FOREVER! A lot of things have been happening...for example I need to find another place to live. As you have all heard Kendra is getting married. We are VERY excited for her and it seems like everything is going really good for her. But I have to find somewhere else to live. I am really sad about this. I loved living where I lived, but I guess life changes and I need to move on. Also I have been VERY busy at work, I feel like I can never catch up on anything. But all in all I guess I just have been busy and that is my reason. I still need to do the picture blog and I need to blog a few other things. So don't give up on me yet... still more to come in the next bit.
Love you all!
M :)

Movies...

It has been awhile since I last posted. This is what has been going on...

I went and saw Mamma Mia- and I LOVED it! It is such a good show. I saw this in Broadway and it's just as good.

I saw "The Dark Night" AWESOME! What can you say Heath Ledger is HOT! Even as the Joker.

Spending time with friends and family is always a great way to spend your summer!

It might just be me but does anyone else think it's CRAZY to run with the bulls? I saw on the news this morning that 12 people are hospitalized and 1 guy was filleted open and his innards were showing. WHAT?!?

4th of July weekend

So I dropped my laptop on the cement floor the other day and I think I broke my hard drive I need to take it into the geek squad and see if they can fix it. I hope it's not to much to buy a new hard drive. LAME!!

MY 4th of July was GREAT! I loved the Stadium of Fire and what Aaron thought would be funny to call it is "Stadium on Fire". It was awesome! Watching Michelle's kids have a great time was worth it. I personally loved the Blue man group. I thought they were awesome. I want to see there show now. The fire works are amazing! They out do themselves every year, and it's great to see it.

All in all a fabulous 4th of July weekend.

The Movies

I went to the movies the other night with Kendra and Sarah, we went to movies 8 cheap tickets and a fun FHE night. We saw the movie 21, if you have not heard of it, it is about blackjack, Las Vegas, and gambling. It's rated PG13

We sat down and started talking when in walked a little family of girls. The theater was EMPTY they could have sat anywhere but lucky us they sat right behind us. The movie is starting and they are so loud it's hard to hear what is going on. One of the girls says "Mom be quite" it was hard not to laugh out loud at that comment. Anyways in the movie there are a few spots that the character's are in a bar in Vegas and there are dancer's. Okay the family freaked out they were yelling SICK, OOH my GOSH, and would not SHUT UP. I was thinking to myself if this movie is THAT offense to you then LEAVE!!!

What I thought about the movie, is that it was entertaining, some spots are not the best , but all in all I would give it a 7 on a scale of 10. I am also one not to hate any movie and like to be entertained and laugh, this one did a good job at that.

Poor girls they were traumatized! Next time you think about going to a movie called "21" maybe you should read a little more about it before you jump in and freak out!

I would have to say not a bad Monday night! :D

100 posts!

I never thought this day would come, that I blogged enough to reach 100 post! I am very happy about this.

I have been kind-of off blogging lately-so sorry for those out there (let's see my family). I think I will start to blog a post when something actually happens to me. So for example if I buy something totally awesome, or if I go on a fun trip, and so forth- Then maybe I will blog.

For now I went and saw Narnia Prince Caspian

It was AMAZING! I loved the books and the movies are so well made. So for those of you who have not seen the movie- you need to. It's very well done!

So LONG White House!

In loving memory of the white house. (and packing it up)

I have a lot of fun memories in the white house- just a few of my memories...

1. Dad scaring us in the basement before we went to bed.
2. The girls playing a game of "Can't touch the floor" and we heard dad coming and I made a leap for the light and got stuck between my bed and the wall.
3. Playing catch out back with Kristy and Dad
4. Waking up for Christmas morning, Easter morning, pretty much every holiday morning.
5. Having parties while the parents were out of town- and having Michelle make a list of things for us to clean...Not such a fun one.
6. Sneaking out at night from the back door. SO EASY!! :)
7. Running out back before Dad got home to clean up after Abby.
8. CRAPES- do I need to say more?
9. Michelle and Ty's wedding
10. Being with my family!
I loved that house- but to tell you the truth I am excited to make more memories in the new house.

I'M BACK! NOW WHAT?!?

You ask where am I back from? Well I am going to tell you a little story, it's called Melynda's life for the past 2 weeks. All I can say is that I have been very busy, and now that it is all coming to an end I have decided to blog a great and long post. So strap on your set belts I am going to take you for a ride.

1. It all began 2 weeks ago a snowy afternoon at work were I realized I have 2 week to complete one hundred charts- A hundred charts of what- well, lets just say a hundred charts of hell. I have to read all the doctors dictations and answer question on each pt. History, current status, the procedure and what equipment they used and then the discharge summary. So it keeps you VERY busy. Data collection, is not my favorite but you get in a system that you like and it's not bad. As long as you have a head set and great music-you can put your self on auto pilot. (It's GREAT) So long story short (I know to late) I was working all the time. I usually have Tuesdays off and that is when I catch up on life, blogs, laundry, errands, and so forth. But the last 2 Tuesday's I had to work. So that is work life.

2. I re cute my hair- I will have to take a picture when I feel like I am having a better hair day. But just to let you know what it looks like it just has layers in it. So it has more of a style. This is what is kind-of looks like just brown hair.

3. On top of being really busy at work I have to be on all the extra teams they have I am on "Healing Connection", "Recruitment and Retention" and what I total forgot the name of it. O-Well I guess it doesn't really matter. But it's very busy when you have to go to all the meetings every month. LAME!

4. I am a God Mother- YEP! One of my good friends had their baby and they asked me to be the God mother of there son. Forrest Kingston Lundeen. He is so cute. They have been having some problems he was born two week early and he aspirated some meconium. NOT GOOD. He was in the newborn ICU for 2 weeks. He is home now- but a few more problems have come up, and we will just have to wait and see what happens. But YEA! I have a god son. :)

5. I get to go to the most beautiful place for work training. Everyone is going to be so jealous of where I get to go. Yep you guessed it beautiful Milwaukee. STOP What Milwaukee- what in the heck is in Milwaukee? will let me tell you it's a brewery town. I also get to go with someone who is really excited to go to a brewrey-me not so excited. I guess we will see what happens.

6. Last of all I think I am in love with Kyle Korver-He is the reason for me to watch EVERY single Jazz game. He is very good looking and I can't get enough! So a hot guy to end my very long blog.

Love, M

OHIO!

Hi Everyone-I made it to Ohio and the weather is not that bad, it's like Utah cold but fine. Today was a great day-we went to Kirtland and saw the pretty Temple and learned a lot of history about Kirtland. I will post pictures soon.

Zeb-is so dang cute! I want to bring him home with me. I love him! He is so smiley, laughs at everything. The first night he would not stop looking at me, he wanted to see if I would do anything to make him laugh. He is so silly, he let me rock him to sleep with him staring at me while I sang him songs. I loved every second of it, he is so sweet. I will post pictures later on. It's late right now, it's only 11:00 p.m. my time and 1:00 a.m. there time. Anyways I am going to go to bed. I will post pictures in the morning.

Love and miss you all!

SHORT HAIR!!

Today I decided to cut my hair off. I sometimes just go into a salon and ask to have my hair cut off. I got 5 1/2 inches off. So a good amount of hair. Anyways I like it! It's something different. Plus I thought if I didn't like it well it grows back right. So there you go my hair is short for a nice vacation to Ohio. FUN! What do you guys think? Mistake or NOT a Mistake?
