Difficult Cinnamon Rolls

First off - I do not recommend anyone making these cinnamon rolls. They were not as easy as the recipe sounded. So ... with that in mind - and 12 hours later or so ... here is the damn recipe:

1/2 cup mashed potatoes
1/2 cup margarine
2 cups scalded milk
1/3 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder

Pour scalded milk over the potatoes, sugar, and margarine to melt the margarine. Cool to luke warm. Dissolve 1 pkg. dry yeast in 1/2 c. warm water and add to milk mixture along with 2 beaten eggs. Add flour, soda, salt, and baking powder. Beat thoroughly then add enough flour to make a soft dough (this ended up being like 12 more cups - hahaha - seriously). Knead just a little (forgot to do that - haha), grease top of dough and cover, store in refrigerator over night (wanted them NOW - so didn't do that). Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.

Finally getting the dough to roll ... after adjusting about 12 more cups of flour. AGH!
Coat with butter. Add cinnamon and brown sugar, roll and cut.

Yay! Finished product. They are deeeelish.

Baking in the oven. Look yummy, huh?

They loved it!

We gobbled 'em up.

I honestly had given up hope on those suckers when I saw the runny dough! It's amazing what A LOT of flour will do! I recommend not doubling the recipe.
