So LONG White House!

In loving memory of the white house. (and packing it up)

I have a lot of fun memories in the white house- just a few of my memories...

1. Dad scaring us in the basement before we went to bed.
2. The girls playing a game of "Can't touch the floor" and we heard dad coming and I made a leap for the light and got stuck between my bed and the wall.
3. Playing catch out back with Kristy and Dad
4. Waking up for Christmas morning, Easter morning, pretty much every holiday morning.
5. Having parties while the parents were out of town- and having Michelle make a list of things for us to clean...Not such a fun one.
6. Sneaking out at night from the back door. SO EASY!! :)
7. Running out back before Dad got home to clean up after Abby.
8. CRAPES- do I need to say more?
9. Michelle and Ty's wedding
10. Being with my family!
I loved that house- but to tell you the truth I am excited to make more memories in the new house.

Hear! Hear!

That house is full of wonderful memories ... but the tradition of good memories continues forward ... without a breath.

I, for one, am entirely grateful NOT to be sliding down the icy path we made from the backdoor to the dog run to bring the dogs water ... only to have it spill all over me most of the time.

And, some things never change - Morty still barks at the bottom of the stairs until someone helps him up ... the (grand)kids still play house together - just in a much roomier basement house ... Sunday dinners - we haven't missed a beat ... playing catch with gramps ... I have NO doubt whatsoever that gma's bingo will continue just as strong :) ... good food and good company. Ya just can't go wrong!

Congratulations on your dream home, Mom and Dad!

Sure enjoyed the memories, M .... now - your cleaning job is ...

hahahahaha.

That made me cry! I remember so much about that house..Its not going to be the same when I come out there this summer and don't see your car there or any of the cars I recognize..I'm really sad now,:( just as sad as when I moved into the dorms and didn't get to see you as I pulled into the neighborhood..then walk over and meet you in front of the Madsen's house...if only we could go back in time and really cherish all we had back then..wow, I'm totally bummed..will I ever see you again?

Yes, we've had a lot of great memories. That house will always hold a special place in my heart. And all of the great neighbors and ward members too. It's hard to leave. It was very strange in a ward where I didn't know anyone!!
