I had a dream last night, that went all night long. So I am reading Austenland by: Shannon Hale (I Love it!) I have been on a Jane Austen Kick for the last few weeks-I had to go buy her books at a used book store-which is my favorite place to go now- but anyways back to the dream...The book Austenland is about a women going back to stay in Pembrook Park, dress up like 1819's and act like it's that time frame. So anyways of course in my dream I am dressed up and at a ball-I have a beautiful pink dress on it looks fabulous (I had a very large cleavage) Anyways I waltzed into the ball room, and all the heads turn to look at me and I am so happy so proud to look so beautiful. I am making my way over to a group of women when I notice that I am the tallest person in the room, I am so tall that EVERYONE has to look up to me. I am thinking to myself UM-something is NOT right. Anyways I am used to people having to have to look up to me, but this time I am the one that is taller then all the guys and I have to kind-of kneel to dance with them. I couldn't get my knees to work just right for the dumb dance and I was getting so frustrated and sad because I couldn't dance like everyone else. Anyways there was this one guy (Mr. Darcey) who came over and swept me off my feet. I was so in love-he layed his head on my chest and we danced the night away.
OKAY- That was my dream-what do you think it means? That I will end up with someone a head shorter than me, That I am going to have to bend to kiss the guy- WHAT?!?! Okay I am taking a deep breath-it's fine if I end up with someone, that is shorter than me-IT'S FINE! I am really not that picky. I work with a lot of men and they are ALL shorter than me, and they have asked me if I would marry someone shorter than me-to tell you the truth HELL YA I would. I'm not saying that it's bad- but I just wish to met someone maybe as tall as me or whatever- I guess it's doesn't matter.
So this is my dream and I can't stop thinking about it. It's kind-of lame I know, but the Ball was so nice.
Maybe I will have a Ball for my 30th birthday- Hell what am I thinking I can't dance. If anyone has any ideas what I should do for my 30th then let me hear them. I have said for sometime now if I am not married by the time I am 30 then I am having a large party-so I need Idea's!! I don't turn 30 until February- but I need to start planning.
That's all for now. ; )

I laughed so hard about that crazy dream - picturing you try to kneel down and not be able to! I love weird dreams. Last night I dreamed that Leisy and I never really got married and Zeb was born out of wedlock. The Bishop was going to make me live somewhere else for three months so we could get married in the temple. I woke up so distraught! I want to be there for your 30th! Especially if you do a 1850's english ball! -Kent
maybe in your next cool dream, you'll be wearing a backpack and you and michelle will go shopping.
i'll try and think of something for your 30th... it has to be awesome, because you are. hmmm...
Okay - I laughed all over again after reading this. That is one hilarious dream, Melynda! I was trying to think of some scientific meaning to it all - and came across a "dream interpretation" site. I couldn't find stuff for everything I wanted (namely "cleavage"), but - here's what I found:
To dream that you are dancing, signifies freedom from constraints and harmony/balance with yourself. You are working in cooperation with yourself. It also represents frivolity, happiness, gracefulness, sensuality and sexual desires. Alternatively, it may signify intimacy and a union of the masculine and feminine aspects of yourself.
To dream that you are attending or going to a dance, indicates a celebration and your attempts to achieve happiness. Consider the phrase the "dance of life" which suggests creation, ecstasy, and going with what life has to offer you.
To dream that you are at a great height, signifies that you have reached one of your highest goals or objectives.
To see or wear a dress in your dream, represents a feminine outlook or feminine perspective on a situation. You are freely expressing your femininity.
So, there you have it! All in all this dream signifies your complete stability in life and confidence in who you are! HOWEVER - still a laugh and a half!
Birthday ideas? Simple is best. I'll be there right with ya every step of the way!
Love you so many!
Hahaha, Plonnie! As long as she has the backpack on - her cleavage will be awesome!
Oh, Melynda! YOu're too funny! I'll be thinking of party ideas!!
I love the dream - you're truely a head above the rest! You are awesome. Who will be invited to the party? Family and friends? Too bad we won't be in our new home. That could make a good party place. (except we didn't include a ball room)
that is so funny i love you! I want to do something super fun for my 30th birthday also to help it be a little less balling! But you should take a cruise or go to cancun thats what i want! but i always think over the top!
Plonni- I don't know what it is, but I can't make comments on your blog from work- it doesn't pull everything up. So I am sorry I will have to get on later- and make comments. But I had to comment about the backpack. I laughed so hard about that. That truely was an awesome dream! I loved it! You make me laugh so hard. Thanks for the memmory! That was a funny one.
M-What a fun dream! You deserve to meet someone like Darcy who will sweep you right off your feet. I hope family is included in the big B-day bash!
ok first of all i said if i wernt married by the time i was 21 i would serve a mission i was teasing or so i thought i didnt want to go on a mission till 4 months before i left. so you can be married by the time you are 30 you never no. i think that the dream is a sign telling you you will be married soon maybe? my parents had a party for my 30 birthday last year maybe you should have a ball for your birthday like in your dream rent a ball room for the night and have fun
haha! melynda.. i just read your comment to me.... haha, glad you liked that. i had to come back here to read your dream.. you are so funny. i'm sorry my comment thingy isn't working from your work. it's all good.
have a good weekend!
Oh my heck! That's is so darn hilarious. It actually doesn't really surprise me because we've been doing so many Jan Austen things lately. I don't know if I could do the whole Austenland thing, but it sounded fun while reading the book. Dreams are so weird! Can't wait for the party!
