I was e-mailed these pictures and I thought of the book going around the one everyone is reading. I have not read it yet but I really want to. But this is terrible, it's crazy to think that they went through all the pain just to have small feet. So I am very greatful to have my size 9 feet!

What a bizarre thing to do. The book explains the "importance" of the foot binding very well. A small foot size due to a perfect wrapping would make a family wealthy. I wasn't a huge fan of the book while I was reading it. But, in hindsite - it WAS quite interesting.

ME TOO! Sheesh - I have size 9 feet and I'm a half a foot shorter than you! Ya know - in highschool, I hated feeling like I had big feet, so I would always by shoes 1/2 size too small. Weird. Silly idiosynchreses.

I canNOT imagine having to put my daughters through that ... I would FOR SURE be 100% deaf from their screaming.
